Second Life residents are known for their generosity of giving to research causes and benefits to groups and individuals in times of need. In light of recent events, it is very understandable that residents need to be cautious when donating money in Second Life. The following post is coverage of an event to benefit the Second Life resident TigerLily Koi who, according to reports, was in a serious vehicle accident that has left her temporarily disabled. If the name sounds familiar to you, that is because TigerLily Koi is the owner and creator of Calla with designs including clothing, hair, jewelry and accessories.

The Content Creators Association and Designers in Seclusion has organized this event in which a silent auction is being held. If you are not familiar with how a silent auction works, you simply pay any amount higher than the current bid to the auction vendor. If you are outbid, you are alerted and your money is returned to you; if you wish, you can most certainly bid again. The auction will end at approximately 2 pm SLT Monday, January 16. The highest bidder of each item will receive their item(s) once the auction has ended. The price listed on the pictures below is not the price of the item but the value set by the creator. Auction bids can be higher or lower than the set value; it is entirely what the buyer is willing to pay. All vendors are set up to pay Cain Maven, owner and creator of Maven Homes. If you do not wish to bid on any of the items, a donations vendor has been also been set up.

If you are looking a little ahead at the items below and notice that two of the items are by the late creator of Last Call, do not worry! These are authentic Last Call designs and are being donated by Sanura Snowpaw, owner and creator of Somnia. Since these are quality items that can no longer be purchased, they have become a sort of collector’s item in Second life.
