SeraphimSpotlight

For the month of May, Seraphim Spotlight brings you a Q & A session with Heidi Halberstadt. She is the General Manager, running the show behind the scenes and making sure everything Seraphim is completed to bring you the best in sales and events from across the grid! Normally Heidi is the brains behind Seraphim Spotlight and asks the questions that helps you get to know our team a little better.  This month, we turned the tables on Heidi and asked her some of our very own questions…the responses are touching and hilarious!  Get to know the woman behind the blog a little better by clicking ‘Read More’.

HEIDI
* What did you do before coming to this mad house aka Seraphim?  Would you go back there if you didn’t love us this much?

In the way-past I worked as a CSR for Belle Belle Furniture.  Currently I occasionally work with the magazine Prim Perfect, either directly on a project, or for one of their managers.

* If you were a type of animal, what kind of animal would you be and why?

A Butt Stallion! Who doesn’t want to be made out of diamond and have TWO horns, not one, like a mere unicorn?

* What is the most memorable, yet slightly embarrassing, thing that you have encountered while working with the lovely ladies of Seraphim?

I can’t remember anything embarrassing, but that might be due to my faulty and/or selective memory. The moments that stand out the most, however, are the ones where we close rank when one of ours is in need.

* Who is your favorite Disney princess?

Any of them that don’t wait around for a prince to rescue them, because that’s lazy and lame.

* What is your favorite part about working for Seraphim?

The Seraphimettes, of course!

* Do you have a particular style or genre of events that interests you the most?

I’d have to say Home & Garden events, especially since the arrival of Mesh.

* What do you wish there was more of in the world of Second Life shopping and events?

Recurring Home & Garden events!

* What are your offline hobbies?

I’m a PC gamer, an avid reader, and a knitter. There are a few more, but those are the ones I spend most of my hobby-time and money on.

* What is your favorite dish to cook?

I don’t particularly like the process of cooking, but the dishes I enjoy making most, because I think I’m rocking them, are spaghetti sauce (with meat), Gulasch, and Schnitzel (German cooking is vastly underappreciated).

* What thing that you’ve made are you most proud of?

I am not a content creator in SL, but I did make a necklace some years back that actually sold a few times on MP, and I still like the way it looks. In RL several of my knitting projects turned out exceptionally well.

* How did you meet your partner?

I joined SL in 2007 after watching CSI: NY, and on my rez day, two guys @ the CSI sim struck up a conversation with me. One of them became a friend, and then my SL partner, and for the last three years we’ve been a couple in RL, and are about to get married.

* What is your favorite part of managing Seraphim?

The diverse people I deal with every day, and of course the copious amount of spreadsheets and lists I get to play with.

* Why do you hog all the talent?

I’m not sure that I hog all the talent, I think I was just lucky enough to land a job that utilizes the talents I have.

* What do you want to be when you grow up?

I do have to adult sometimes, there’s no way around it, but I really don’t think I’ll ever be grown up in the traditional sense of the word, which to me means stuffiness, lack of humor, and toeing ALL the lines. That said, though: Get off my lawn!

* Clowns: yes, no, or couldn’t care less?

Meh. Except for Pennywise. He’s nightmare material.

* Do you know any magic tricks?

I can make vast amounts of Linden Dollars disappear very quickly. That HAS to be a magic trick, right?

* If you had to describe yourself as a car, what would it be?

One part truck for work, one part limousine for luxury, one part horse-cart for antiquity, one part station wagon for dependability.

* Do you bite your nails?

You didn’t specify fingernails or toenails, so I can’t really provide an answer ;p

* Is it true that Connie is your favorite blogger?

<whispers to Connie> Of course!

* Is it true that Tara is your favorite blogger?

<whispers to Tara> Of course!

Thank you, Heidi, for the great answers!  And don’t worry, we won’t tell the team who your actual favorite is!  (Pssst…it’s clearly Del!  LOL)
