Please stop using facebook for galleries. As someone that does not have nor need a facebook account, this gallery can’t be viewed by me or anyone else without an account. I’ll simply avoid any and all galleries hosted on facebook from now on.
Hi Reggie,
Thank you for expressing your concerns. I understand your frustration with the gallery setup on external platforms like Facebook, Flickr, and various websites. These galleries are chosen and controlled by the events, not by us. While we can make recommendations, the final call rests with each event organizer.
If this is a concern you’d like addressed, it may be more effective to contact the event teams directly. Posting repeatedly here won’t influence their decisions, as we don’t have the ability to enforce gallery types. Sharing your feedback directly with them would likely have a greater impact. Thanks for your understanding!
Do these event organisers that use Facebook to display the weekly sales realise that for people not logged into Facebook, Facebook no longer allows you to freely browse the listings? (the log in box pops up after a few seconds and you can’t close it, effectively blocking you from browsing the page). Not everyone has a Facebook accounts or wishes to. Oh well, just will have to ignore these types of weekly sales….it’s a shame:(
Hi Ellen,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I understand the concerns surrounding the galleries displayed on Facebook, Flickr, or other sites. To clarify, these galleries are chosen by the events themselves. While we can suggest ideas, the decision on which platform to use lies with the event organizers.
If you feel strongly about this, the best course would be to connect directly with the event teams. Posting this on Seraphim daily won’t lead to the changes you’re seeking, as these are choices beyond our control. Your direct feedback to the event organizers would be much more effective. Thank you for understanding!
